A great year up in Tumbarumba, drier, slightly warmer meant for riper fruit but still with that unmistakable high country zing about it.
A change to production as well, fermented and matured in 20hl Stockinger foudre for two years. It's all about clarity and preserving the fruit so its not bogged down in oak and small barrels seem to go.

Ravensworth 2024 Tumbarumba Chardonnay
Foudre time for happy time.
There’s distinct nougat and hazelnut savouriness set amongst peachy fruitiness, grapefruit, brine, slate and the flickers of alpine herbs and botanicals of the region. That being said, the nuttiness is the charm, suggestions of fino sherry a delight. It’s plush in a way, but you don’t miss a cut and thrust of freshness. It stains the palate gently, a medium weight, perhaps just that touch diffuse, but an energetic wine of easy pleasure and interest. 93 Points Mike Bennie, The WineFront
