Harvest date: Mixed
Processing: On skins for three weeks

Vintage conditions: Another cool year, very wet early that kept us on our toes in the vineyard. Was a year for patience, faith and gumboots.
Bottling date: May 2023

Something interesting: We normally use Graciano to blend with Tempranillo, they work really well together. No Graciano this year so used some pretty neat wine from WA
Drink with: a steak would be good, rare, some proper fries and peppery sauce

Ravensworth 2022 SGM
"It’s neat and tidy, spicy, ripe, red berry-orientated wine of easy drinking, generosity and spice, sweet fruited fragrance and gentle tannins. Not really getting out of mid gears, but hey, drinks a treat and feels easy and medium weight and good. Everything well balance and copacetic. It’s a great drink, is the message"
Mike Bennie, The WineFront
"Don't imagine winemaker Bryan Martin lets you off easily. This medium-bodied offer takes shiraz from Hilltops blended with (more) shiraz plus grenache and mourvèdre from the large Swinney vineyard in Western Australia's Great Southern (not an easy vintage, although that's not obvious). The fragrant bouquet and fresh zesty palate makes the grenache and mourvèdre, rather than the shiraz, dominant."
