It’s spring, we’ve established that, you feel like a red wine, not another sweetish rose but something with structure and purpose. A wine you can chill slightly even. Well here its it, Gamay, the OG super juicy red wine filled with flowers and fruit with that ever-present savouriness.

There’s more to it than just another early drinking red, the structure and complexity will see it emerge as an impressive wine with a little age, if you can wait that long.

Testimonials

Ravensworth 2023 Gamay-Noir
"Not sure how much pinot noir is added; the back label says the technical term is 'plopped some in'. It’s light and bright, very savoury even if there’s a nod to cherry compote and raspberries but more twigs and pips with a whiff of jamon. There’s a juiciness, a tang, with a light sway of tannins. It’s a ripper red in warmer weather."
