Ravensworth 2022 Montepulciano
"The back label states: ‘not meant to be a fancy wine. Just drink it FFS …” OK. Will do. While it might not be fancy, it’s irresistible BTW. No more acronyms from here on. It’s super juicy and vibrant – montepulciano always offers a fantastic purple-hue, this is fragrant with cherries and lots of licorice, menthol and choc-mint, too and wafts of new leather. Cherries and pips on the palate, not a big wine as pliable tannins are behind the acidity, which is leading the way. For a refreshing style this is tip-top; way too easy to drink on its own but even better with some lamb as the label suggests. No argument there"
